2017 Lacombe Municipal Election

The 2017 Municipal Election is coming up on Monday, October 16. To accommodate residents’ schedules, the City of Lacombe is offering advance voting opportunities for voters. 

The first Advance Poll will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall (5432-56 Avenue). The second Advance Poll is on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. also in the City Hall Council Chambers.

On Election Day, eligible electors can vote from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. at the main polling station in the Lacombe Memorial Centre (5214-52 Avenue).   

The voter identification requirements for the 2017 General Election, in accordance with section 53(1) of the Local Authorities Election Act (Proof of Elector Eligibility) and section 95(1)(a)(ii) of the Province of Alberta Election Act (Declaration Procedure), in order to vote, an elector must:

  • Produce one piece of government issued identification that contains a photograph of the elector and establishes both the elector’s name and current residential address, (such as Operator/Driver’s License or Government photo identification card (for non-drivers), or
  • Identification authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer which establishes the elector's name and current address.
