Invest in the future of recreation and sport in Lacombe

I believe that recreation facilities are essential to the sustainability and long-term viability of Lacombe. Quality recreation infrastructure must not only be viewed as an investment in the health and wellness of our citizens, but in the economic future of our city, as it can help attract and retain new residents and visitors, and be a catalyst for development.

Lacombe’s central location, diverse selection of venues, and excellent civic facilities are advantages that we must continue to develop to attract investment to the community and create economic opportunities for residents.

Council is committed to meeting the increasing need for municipal services and facilities in a fiscally prudent manner. Thus far, we are very pleased with the corporate and community support received for the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex.

With the major sponsorships for the facility in place, the City recently presented an exciting opportunity to local and area residents and business owners to become part of “A Really Big Deal” by contributing to the renovations at the facility.

We need your help to offset project borrowing costs. Your investment into the future of recreation and sports in Lacombe will help improve the overall quality of life in our community for years to come.

Families and individuals can connect at a deeper level with the community, leave a legacy, or honour a loved one with a donation of $500 or more, which will be recognized on the Donor Wall. Donations of any amount are welcome and all donors will be issued tax receipts.

Local and area businesses also have an opportunity to increase their visibility in a competitive market through naming rights sponsorship within the Sportsplex. Naming rights partnerships offer a great return on advertising dollars, and are an effective way to showcase your support to thousands of facility users, and demonstrates your leadership and commitment to social responsibility within our community. Sponsorship helps create goodwill, builds consumer preference, and promotes brand loyalty.
As a naming rights sponsor, your business or family name will appear on the asset sponsored and on the Donor Wall. There are a variety of opportunities for naming rights available in the Curling Rink, Arena, Aquatic Centre, Multi-purpose rooms, the Donor Wall and the Splash Park.  Naming Rights sponsorship amounts begin at $2500 and payment terms are available to make the opportunities more affordable to a broader range of donors.

If you would like to further discuss or get involved with one or more of these exciting sponsorship opportunities, visit www.lacombe.ca/donate or contact Maureen MacKenzie at (403)782-1258 or mmackenzie@lacombe.ca.

On behalf of Council, I thank you for your consideration of support. I believe that we must work together to build a strong sense of community and shared goals so that we all can prosper. It is through the caring and generosity of community builders like you that we can better serve the needs of Lacombe and area residents.

- Mayor Steve Christie
