Councillors Reuben Konnik and Wayne Rempel help promote a cleaner, more livable Lacombe.
The City of Lacombe invites all residents to participate in a community-wide 20 minute make-over from 2-2:20p.m. on Thursday April 26, 2012 as part of the 45th annual Pitch-In Canada week, April 23-30, 2012.

"We want to show environmental leadership and instill pride in our community," said Councillor Wayne Rempel. “We all share the responsibility for keeping our city clean and I encourage everyone to help create a safer, more liveable Lacombe by cleaning up around their homes, schools, businesses and workplaces for 20 minutes.”

"We can be part of the solution instead of part of the problem by doing simple things, such as cleaning up after our pets and placing our garbage in a waste bins instead of just tossing it," said Councillor Reuben Konnik. "It comes down to each of us having a sense of ownership for our neighbourhoods and doing our part to look after them."

There is a limited quantity of Official Pitch-In branded bags available at City Hall for residents to use for their cleanup efforts. Please call 403-782-6666 for availability.

“To help residents dispose of any solid waste collected during this campaign, additional garbage bins will be located at the Wolf Creek Drive Recycle Depot, the Arena parking lot and at Michener Park” said Chris Huston, Utilities and Fleet Manager.
